1. Welcome to our forum. Feel free to discuss anything related to science fiction; in particular our great science fiction series. But we're open to all sorts of relevant subjects, because we'd like you to hang out and enjoy yourselves.

About Rockoids II: As some of you know, co-author Grayson Steinberg now lives and works in Madrid, and hence only visits his family during the summer months. Last summer, Gene and Grayson completed Book II, at last, and resumed work on Book III, about which you'll hear more soon. Book II is in final production form, and we await the new cover design. We'll then offer it for sale. Thanks for your patience.

Never went that far into the series. I kind of gave up at the first movie. :)

The third film totally ignores the second. Thus, it is the sequel.

Only saw the first movie. I read the book a while back. It is much better than the movie. The movie really took a lot of creative license with the book and is missing much of the story as I remember.

Very true. Too bad because I did enjoy the book. The ending was sobering.

Not to be the spoiler and all, but go for it. How did the book end?

It has been a long time since I read the book so here is the Wikipedia entry on the novel.

    Wikipedia Listing

The end has the main character in command position with his father under his command. As I remember the humans were losing the seemingly endless bug war.
